COURSE INFORMATION AND OPPORTUNITY FOR B.SC.(HON'S) (AGRICULTURE BUSINESS MANAGEMENT) GRADUATES

Agriculture business management is the blood of our national economy. Our college is imparting teaching and effective practical training to the students in agro based industries, business management, food/fruit processing industries, marketing and administration and all the relevant industries in public, private and cooperative sectors. Similarly they have very good opportunity at par in all field / sectors including Agriculture, Horticulture, Co-operatives industries and public utility services and banking sector.

The scope for career development in Agril,. Business sector is enormous and in recent years it is substantially expanded due to globalization of trade and policy reforms in agriculture production, processing and management at national level leading to an unprecedental level of corporate interest in this sector. Due to fast growing Indian rural marketing demands for qualified agri business personnels, creation of post graduate program in Agriculture business management i.e. MBA (Agri) is the need of hour. Accordingly, post graduate studies have been started at Pune (MPK V. Rahuri), Nagpur (PDK V, Akola) and Latur (VNMKV, Parbhni) for the benefit of students desirous to join the higher studies from the academic year 2013-14.

Admission Procedure:

  • Online admission program is implemented by K.T.P.L. Pune through MCAER, Pune. A relevant advertise of admission is displayed by MCAER Pune. The detail admission procedure and prospectus is available on the website http://www.mcaer.org or http://maha-agriadmission.in

Eligibility:

  • The student passed XII (Science) Standard with PCB/PCM/PCMB and MHT-CET/JEE/AIEEE-UG Entrance Exam given students are eligible for B.Sc.(Hon's) (Agriculture Business Management) Degree program. Candidates who have not offered biology or Mathematics shall have to complete deficiency courses.

Intake Capacity:

  • 80 Students per year.

Duration:

  • Four years (8 Semester), one semester (7th) is allotted for experiential Learning Program in which students have to select one of the module either from Agril. Marketing or agri business management to work and gain experience for six month in VII th semester (one semester). In VIII th semester the students are engaged in In-Plant training Program.

Employment Opportunities:

  • Marketing officer in Agro-based industrial sector.
  • Field officer, finance/ fxtension/agriculture officer in banks.
  • Executive officer in agril. Import-Export.
  • Eligible for post graduate degree program in Agri-business management i.e. MBA(Agri)
